âWe fell in love with this heroic military dog, Max, and Kyle's teenage brother, Justin, when Max helped the family of his fallen handler, Kyle, deal with their loss. But unlike the first movie which took us on an emotional roller coaster as the bonds of friendship, comfort, and the realization of what happened on the front lines in Afghanistan are discovered this movie is full of antics and adventure. Now, Max must protect the son of the US president and the daughter of the visiting foreign leader both of whom seem determined to break free from the security that is in place to protect them. There is no shortage of trouble for these two youngsters and Max. Although, I preferred the first movie my grandson thoroughly enjoyed the lighter story line of this movie and has watched it a second time already.
